I am a PhD candidate in Applied Economics at Oregon State University, on the 2026–27 economics job market. Prior to joining Oregon State, I earned my M.S. in Economics and my B.S. in Business and Economic Analytics from Boise State University. I also teach Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics as part-time faculty at Linn-Benton Community College.
As an applied microeconomist, I study the economics of wildfire, forest management, and climate change adaptation. My research asks how a changing fire regime reshapes the decisions of private forest owners, drawing on spatial and panel data methods to connect environmental risk to land use and management across the western United States.
My job market paper provides the first large-scale evidence that private forest landowners are adapting to intensifying wildfire risk. Linking confidential plot-level forest data with wildfire perimeters, I find that as fire risk rises, owners shift toward more fire-resilient management practices that reduce their exposure to future losses.
